Developer Meeting in Berlin, 7/8 April 2010

The purpose of this meeting is to bring together polymake developers, to discuss the next steps and to actually write code. Users who want to learn about polymake are welcome, too.

We do not have a fixed schedule yet. At any rate there will be some kind of interactive workshop or Q+A session on Thursday morning chaired by Michael Joswig. This is recommended also for polymake newbies.

Coding Topics:

  • Milestone: Callable Library
  • Milestone: Visualization
    • update: interface to jReality version 20100309 functional (thanks to Thilo!)
  • Milestone: 3.0 beta - Please find some remarks in the milestone description in Trac.

Further Topics:

  • rearrange this Wiki; as discussed in Kaiserslautern
  • build new example database, merge examples from TU Berlin database
  • maybe we could use iWebKit to make the documentation readable on the iPhone :-)

This meeting will take place at TU Berlin, rooms MA550 and MA551. Time table: Wednesday, 7 April, 13:00 to 20:00, and Thursday, 8 April, 9:00 to 13:00.

Everybody interested in attending please register by sending an email to Katrin Herr If you want to bring your laptop (you should) please also send the MAC-address of your ethernet card (unless your laptop is already registered at TU Berlin). Cable Internet access will be provided, but there will not be any (public) WLAN. eduroam should work, but performance may be bad.
